Join us for a hands-on rock, fossil, and mineral
presentation. In this class taught by Catrina Johnson, your
kids will learn about the 3 types of rock and how they
form, the difference between minerals and rocks, what
makes minerals unique, and all about fossil formation.
They will experience the glowing world of fluorescent
minerals in our black light room and visit our lapidary
shop to see a geode cut open. With a myriad of specimens
within reach, kids will see and touch 400 million year
old sea life, dinosaur eggs, meteorites, and other
mysterious objects produced by Mother Earth. (For ages 4-10.)
