An Oglala Lakota of the Oglala Sioux tribe,
Delbert ChargingCrow will share the Lakota fetish-carving
tradition with you in a 3-day workshop that is designed to awaken the stone carver in you. You will learn the
tools to use, the process of selecting a stone, how to
recognize the shape within the stone, and the carving
techniques to bring it forth. Delbert creates a sacred
space with each class. He will teach you to find the
spirit within the stone and help you to manifest it.
The class is held in our Albuquerque store
on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Dates are to be set when minimum
number of students have signed up. Be sure to sign up early, because the class is limited to a maximum of 12
students. Call us at 505-266-8443 for additional
information or to sign up for class. A $50.00 deposit will be
required when dates have been set. Wear jeans and comfortable shoes (no
sandals) for three full days of stone-carving fun. All materials will be provided, but be sure to bring a lunch. If you sign up, we'll contact you to verify your place in the class.
