Our fantastic Stone Slab Assortment for Tumbling contains
1-1/2 pounds of unpolished, pre-cut stone slabs in assorted
shapes (round, oval, triangular, irregular) and sizes (from
1/2 - 2-1/2" wide, 1/2 - 3-1/2" long, and 1/8 - 3/8" thick).
Mineral content varies markedly, but is likely to include
banded agate, jasper, petrified wood, chalcedony, obsidian, and others. Use these slabs in your

Please note: Before tumbling or
lapping these slabs, you'll need to sort them by shape,
Mohs hardness, mineral type, and size (for your particular
tumbler or flat lap). For best results, we recommend
using a vibratory tumbler or flat lap with a large
capacity, such as the Gy-Roc Vibrahone Model A or the
Lortone FL-15 Heavy Duty Vibrating Lap.
Large-capacity rotary tumblers such as
Lortone's QT6,
QT66, and
QT12 may be used, but the
original shape of the slabs may be lost.
