This Rechargeable UV Short-Wave Lamp is great for
displaying your short-wave minerals or for carrying in
the field. It has two short-wave bulbs and a toggle
switch so you can switch between the two, or have both
bulbs on at the same time. Its red color makes it easy
to locate and the small size (10" by 5-1/2" by 3") and light
weight (4 lbs) make it extremely portable. A nylon strap
is attached to the back of the lamp, enabling more
flexibility of wrist movement for added viewing
illumination.
Technical specifications: 115V ~ 60Hz,
1.0 Amp, 12V DC. This lamp contains an internal gel-based,
lead-acid battery, with a cord to plug into the wall for
easy recharging. Extra care should be taken in the use
of short-wave ultraviolet lamps, especially around
children, because it is short-wave ultraviolet light
that causes sunburn.
Battery-operated lamps and ultraviolet mineral kits are also available.
