This beautifully preserved Portunidae White
Crab from the Holocene/Pleistocene Period is over 20,000
years old. It was
discovered in Ferrara, Italy. The 3-dimensional specimen is still well
intact. This crab, from the Liocarcinus species, is in
relief in a Calcareous gravel matrix. The crab measures
approximately 2-3/4" by 1-3/8" by 5/16". The Matrix measures 4-1/4" wide,
3" tall, and an 1-1/4" thick.
