The unique appearance of this 180 - 205 million-year-old
Petrified Fern Slice from Araguana, Brazil makes it a
natural piece of art for both display and conversation.
Originating from the Tietea singularis fern that
flourished in the Permian Age, this irregularly-shaped
slice shows a dramatic cellular central area, surrounded by a ring of more
refined organic structures. The outer edge retains the look
of the original bark. The wonderful colors include shades
of lavendar, beige, grey, and tan, all painted in complex
and intriguing patterns. This oval-shaped slice has a
high polish on both sides and is approximately 7-1/8"
