This beautifully fossilized Sand Dollar (Mellita quinquiesperforata) is the delicate
remnant of an eight-million-year-old sea echinoid! It is
approximately 3" in diameter and light tan in color.
Collected in Baja California, Mexico. You will receive a specimen that is similar
in shape and color to the one shown. Due to the age and fragility
of these fossils, they may have small imperfections.
These fossil shells are the remains of creatures that
lived 8 million years ago, but were exactly the same as the
sand dollars found in our oceans today! Pair one with a
modern shell found on the beach recently for an excellent
