This high-quality Vanadinite Crystals on Barite specimen is from the
Mibladen Mine in Khenifra, Morocco. Vanadinite is an
important ore of vanadium and a
minor ore of lead. Its distinctive color and unusual crystal habit,
short hexagonal prisms terminated by a pinacoid, or flat basal face,
make it a distinctive addition to any collection. It is usually
found near lead deposits in arid climates. Barite (barium
sulfate) is a vitreous mineral that is often is an
accessory mineral to other minerals.
Mother Nature made each of these specimens
unique, so sizes and colors vary. Yours will be
approximately 1" by 1" by 1/2" and will be
