Hematite, with its red or red-brown finish (rough) and
dramatic silvery black appearance (polished), is a popular
stone for tumbling. Our Hematite Tumbling Rock consists
of three pounds of rough that’s sized and ready for your
rock tumbler. It can be tumbled alone or in combination
with rocks and minerals having a similar hardness
(Moh’s 5.5-6.5). Each piece weighs approximately 30-40g,
from a quarter to fifty-cent piece size. Hematite,
consisting of 70% iron oxide, has excellent grounding
properties, and is widely believed to enhance
