This sterling silver star-shaped pendant, about 1-1/8"
tall and 1-1/8" wide (excluding loop for a chain), is
set with a 6 by 10 millimeter piece of polished Odessa
meteorite. Well over 20,000 years ago, a cluster of iron
meteorites slammed into what is now Odessa, Texas,
leaving several craters from which more than 10,000 tons
of meteorite fragments have been dug. The meteorite in
this incredible pendant is such a fragment and comes with
a Certificate of Authenticity from the manufacturer.
Structurally, Odessa meteorites are coarse octahedrites,
and display the distinctive Widmanstätten pattern common
