Knapping is a process that has been used to create
arrowheads from many types of stone for thousands of
years. Many knapping enthusiasts today were introduced
to the idea by being exposed to ancient and contemporary
arrowheads of the type we offer.
This collection includes four arrowheads in a
variety of sizes and made from several traditional
knapping materials -- one large (2-1/2 to 3" long) of Black
Obsidian (which is a natural
glass that creates a sharp arrowhead), one medium (1-3/4 to 2" long) of Mahogany Obsidian, one
medium-small (1-1/4 to 1-1/2" long) of Fancy Jasper (a variegated form of quartz), and one small (1 to 1-1/4" long) of Clear Quartz. The sizes and
colors of these handmade pieces vary considerably, but
you will receive a selection that is similar to that
