Blue Quartz is an opaque to translucent blue variety of quartz (silicon dioxide) that owes its color to microscopic inclusions of fibrous magnesioriebeckite or crocidolite. It is a popular stone for tumbling, particularly for use in tumbled stone jewelry.
Our Blue Quartz Tumbling Rock consists of three pounds of rough that’s sized and ready for your rock tumbler. It can be tumbled alone or in combination with rocks and minerals having a similar hardness (Moh’s 7). Each piece weighs approximately 30-40g, from a quarter to fifty-cent piece size.
