Each of our Small Stony Meteorites, found in NW Africa, are
approximately 1-1/16" by 5/8" by 3/8" and weigh between
8 and 10 grams. They are classified NWA, and have not
yet been designated with a number. The one you receive will be similar
in size and quality to the examples shown in the above
photo.
Stony meteorites are thought to be
pieces of asteroids or comets that fell to earth. The
primary minerals found in them are pyroxenes and
olivenes, with flecks of nickel-iron alloy. They're
extremely hard to find because they look like regular
earthbound stones. The one you receive will be similar
in size and quality to the examples shown in the above
