This rare form of purple octahedral
Fluorite was found at only one location -- the Pine
Canyon deposit in Grant County, New Mexico. Originally
mislabelled "Catron County," the unusual coloration of
these specimens lead to further investigation by
collectors, who later traced them to the Pine Canyon
Claim. That deposit is now exhausted, leaving us with a
limited number of these gorgeous specimens. Several pale green fluorite crystals
further accentuate the bright purple Pine Canyon Fluorite
crystals.
This unique specimen
measures approximately 1-7/8" by 1-3/4" by 1-5/8" and would
be great for home decorating, Feng Shui, or as a gift to
your favorite Fluorite collector!
