This fabulous Black Obsidian Sphere is extra large,
measuring approximately 6" in diameter. Obsidian (volcanic silica glass) is the
result of lava coming into contact with water. It is
chemically indistinguishable from window glass, and iron
and magnesium in trace amounts cause it to be black (or
sometimes dark green). Its vitreous luster and relative
softness (5 Mohs) make it a natural for cutting and
polishing into this gorgeous sphere. This is a one-of-a-kind
item that will never be seen again -- especially not at
