These spectacular slices of the Gibeon Meteorite, which fell in Nambia, Africa over 12,000 years ago, feature
the fine markings of the Widmanstätten Pattern. This
characteristic pattern indicates a very slow cooling
process that took place at the rate of about 18 - 180°F
every million years! The Gibeon Meteorite slices we
offer here are approximately 1" by 1/2" by 3/16" and
weigh between 6.8 and 8.4 grams. The one you receive will
be similar in size and quality to the examples shown in
the above photo.
