Our White Alabaster Rough Rock is pure white with touches of pinkish beige and pale grey, and sparkling pinpoints of silicon dioxide appear throughout the stone. It comes from east of Alamagordo, New Mexico. Because Alabaster has a Moh's hardness of 2, you can carve virtually anything out of it. Alabaster has been used for thousands of years to create sculptures both ornamental and artistic, as well as functional yet appealing objects like cosmetic jars, mirror frames, and funerary urns.
