Some rocks that look ordinary in daylight fluoresce and
reveal vivid colors when illuminated by either long-wave
or short-wave ultraviolet light. This set contains one
Long-Wave Fluorescent Minerals Kit and one Short-Wave
Fluorescents Minerals Kit. The Long-Wave Kit contains
five minerals -- tremolite, tirodite, fluorite,
wernerite, and sodalite; the Short-Wave, five more --
agrellite, chalcedony, selenite crystals,
tremolite/tirodite and willemite/calcite. Each stone is
about 1" square (but sizes vary) and is marked with its
name and the location in which it was found.
