This Green Fluorite Rough Rock, which comes from a mine
in Mexico, is an enticing medium to dark aqua green.
Fluorite, which has a Moh's hardness of 4, is used for
both carving and tumbling. It's typically used to carve
animal fetishes, figurines, spheres, and other small
sculptural items.
Tumbling Tip: if you're
going to break up this rock for tumbling, only tumble it
with other fluorites and stones with a hardness 4 or 5. Be aware that some fluorite does not polish to a glossy sheen.
