Alumina-based (aluminum oxide) grit is the inexpensive abrasive of choice for the final rock polishing stage, giving excellent results on a wide range of stones, from soft to hard. Our Alumina-Based Rock Tumbling Polish has an extremely fine grain (approximately 3 microns) and is typically used in Step 4 of the tumbling process.
