Silicon carbide is the abrasive of choice for tumbling because it has a Moh's hardness of 8+, incredible longevity, and is quite effective. This 320 Silicon Carbide Tumbling Grit has a medium grain and is typically used after 120/220 or 220 Grit, in either Step 2 or Step 3, depending on whether you use a 4-Step or 5-Step tumbling process.

Especially useful for getting a high polish while tumbling glass.
