Just one of the many properties that can be used for mineral identification, "fracture" refers to the way that a mineral looks when broken in any way other than along cleavage or parting planes. This kit contains six different samples showing you the six different types of fractures. All of the specimens are approximately 1" in diameter and come labeled with a corresponding guide for easy identification.
