Mineralogy: Labradorite is in the Plagioclase Feldspar Group, comprised of a mixture of sodium and calcium aluminum silicates. The mineral is generally blue and green with iridescent displays of yellows, golds, pastels, blues, and greens on the surface. The labradorescence (play of color and light exclusive to Labradorite) is especially directional, with vibrant changes of color as the stone rotates.
