Iron Pyrite Tumbled - Peru

These tumbled iron pyrite stones are formed into a pleasing, soft shape with rounded edges which can be used for massage, as a type of worry stone, Feng Shui element, or as a simple accent on your desk.  Shaped in Peru from a large chunk of pyrite, the cavities that are left unshaped allow the natural pyrite crystal to sparkle in the light. Iron Pyrite has a warm yellow color, it's metallic, and it glitters and sparkles like gold, which is why it's commonly called "fool's gold."

Mineralogy: Iron disulfide often with substantial amounts of nickel and cobalt generated by sulphur reacting with iron.  Iron pyrite is the most abundant of the sulfide minerals and occurs in many types of rocks and all hydrothermal veins
