Pink Opal Polished Point
*Because of Mother Nature's varied palette, each stone will be unique.
Size: Between 2.5" & 3.5" tall
Location: Western Australia
Mineralogy: Opal is not technically a mineral, as it lacks a crystalline structure. Rather, it is a hydrous amorphous silica mineraloid (a substance that resembles a mineral). Water droplets bound up in the opal's structure may create iridescence when arranged such that light diffraction occurs. Iridescent opal is called 'precious opal', while non-iridescent specimens are called 'common opal'. Opal comes in almost every color imaginable; pink opal specimens generally come from either Peru or Australia.
Metaphysical Properties: Said to be an excellent heart healer. Said to help release anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Thought to be very good for healing heart-related disorders. Also said to be good for highly sensitive people. It is believed to fill the heart chakra with light and fluffy overwhelming joy and love. Said to be a really good stone for children dealing with stress, anxiety, and nightmares.
