This unique Ocean Jasper Point would make a beautiful addition to any mineral collection.
Mineralogy: Jasper is a variety of chalcedony, which is the microcrystalline variety of quartz. Jaspers tend to be opaque due to inclusions of hematite and other (usually iron-rich) minerals. Jasper may be nearly any color though red, yellow, brown, and green are most common. Due to its tendency to fracture conchoidally, jasper is often used by flintknappers to create arrowheads and other blades.
Metaphysical Properties: Jaspers are very good for reconnecting to the earth. They help us understand our own humanity. Humans are naturally creative, unique, and visionary. Working with jaspers of all kinds is helpful in remembering these qualities that are within each of us and continuing to cultivate them. Jaspers contain many clues into the consciousness of the planet and the state of humanity; therefore, they help us understand our human existence here on planet earth.
