Metaphysical Properties: Associated and given its name from the belief that the red tones come from the blood of Christ, bloodstone is thought to be a wonderful purification stone - both for the physical and spiritual. A stone thought to ground, it is also associated with assistance during physical health issues, especially those relating to blood.
Mineralogical Properties: Bloodstone is a variety of chalcedony and is a crypto-crystalline variety of quartz.
