Mineralogy: Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral that forms in hydrothermal mineral deposits. Rhodochrosite comes in many colors, but pink is the most popular and commercially available. It is often confused with rhodonite but is much softer than rhodonite so a scratch test can help distinguish between the two. Also, white veining is common in rhodochrosite while black veining is common in rhodonite.
Metaphysical Properties: Said to bring an abundance of love to the soul. Thought to be good for helping one love themself as a unique individual venturing into life’s challenges.
